- Meditate the Pain Away
Most people know of meditation, many practice it, but few realize that all individuals on this planet have already experienced it – one way or another. The moments after waking up, or before falling asleep, or the occasional daydream – all happen in the brain’s alfa frequency range, the same we artificially utilize in meditation. We all have the ability to meditate. Unfortunately, it is not something they teach in (most) schools.
Have you ever just stopped, closed your eyes and took a few deep breaths? Those moments are precious, and much needed by the brain for a break or reset. My grandfather used to, and my uncle still does take afternoon naps. Only 20 minutes after lunch, and feel like new. I envied them for it, but could never wind down so much in the afternoon. Meditation changed that. Now, I can do their 20-minute nap in a 5-minute meditation, and feel as refreshed as they were.
Many practitioners meditate just to relax, unwind, de-stress. Some find it useful in helping with tasks – since the brain is more relaxed and away from outside influence. Others use it to focus for athletic performance. I use it to help heal those who are unable to see me in person – over long distances. All of my long distance healing happens in meditative state.
Everything on this planet (and beyond) is interconnected through various means and frequencies. Right at this moment, thousands of different frequencies flow through us without our knowledge. Thankfully, our brains don’t pick up every radio station, cell call, space radiation and such. Heck, even out of the millions of information that come through our eyes, our brains can barely process a few thousand. However, sometimes it is nice to be able to tap into such an information highway, even beyond the visual senses. Just like a search engine on your phone or computer can find any information you seek with the touch of your finger, the infinite information of the universe is also available, and only a few thoughts away. What would you do with such an information? The sky is the limit, but ultimately, you would want use it to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy, right?
In the time long distance healing became an everyday request, I developed my own meditation technique, which helps not only my clients, friends, and family, but myself also. Turns out, the more I work on others, the healthier I become. The same technique worked for my students as well, with similar results. Now, sit back, relax, close your eyes, and count back from 10 to 1. See each number in front of your closed eyes, while taking a deep breath. As you exhale, let the number go. On to the next breath and the next number… After reaching 1, enjoy the peace. You can use this 5-minute method just about any time during the day.
